Hep B shot
Hi,
I just received packet 3, and have one HUGE burning question. I realised I
needed the Hepatitis B shot, and from research it seems that the full Hep B
shot takes at least 4 months to complete (1st and 2nd shot a month apart,
and then 4 months more before the 3rd shot can be administered). Is this
really necessary? I mean, are my plans really gonna be held up for 4 months
just to wait for this one shot? does anyone have similar experience or
advise please?!?!?! HELP!

Re: Hep B shot
Hi
My son (12) was required to have the Hep B shots, one was given by the
Consulate doctor in May 2002 in Canada when we got our medicals. We
were then immigrating in June 2002, so the doctor said he was putting
a note in the package to the Consulate stating my son's shots would be
finished in the U.S. Well I forgot all about it and didn't have his
second Hep B shot done until November 2002 as well as a highly
recommended Hep A shot. This was done at the local public health
district office here in the U.S. I just received a notice in the mail
last week that my son is to get his third Hep B shot and the A shot so
I will be making an appointment for him tomorrow. You won't have to
wait around until all 3 are taken care of. We had no problem
concerning it.

I have my medical this Wednesday and thought the same thing. However, it appears from the information on the website that those aged 18-64 do not require the Hep B shot.
Hope that helps.
