Default Help with a Consulate Appointment Please +++

Hi All,
I need help with the following matter:
I'm a Green Card holder living in the States and my fiancé is also a green
card holder through the lottery and is in Egypt now. We are getting married
in a couple of month here in the States and she wants her single 25 years
old sister and her 50 years old mother to attend the wedding. Her father was
in the states before and has a 5 year Visa but he won't be able to make it
because of his medical condition. They got an appointment for next month to
meet with the officials in the American consulate in Egypt to request a
Visitor Visa for each. They both work but are not rich.
My question is, is there something I could do to aid them with their
request? I know it's very hard these days to obtain a visitor visa from
Egypt and I think it's especially harder for her sister because of her age
and I would like to help but don't know how.
I was told that since I have a date set and reserved the Church for that
date, I should ask the priest to write a letter stating that the date was
reserved for the ceremony and maybe also have the priest add an invitation
for both of them to attend the wedding. What do you think of that and if you
think this would help, could you please give me some guidance as to what to
include in the letter or possibly write me a draft.

Thank you so much for your much needed help.
Mack.

I think the father's condition will actually help quite a bit. It is a
very strong reason for at least the mother to return to Egypt, and likely
it will make the overall case more convincing so that the daughter, too,
will get a visa.

Also, I don't think it is particularly difficult to get a visa for
Egyptians. However, the processing can take much longer than usual.

It doesn't hurt to do this, and sounds like a very good idea.
