Well... I did it...
But... I was young, had lived with my parents, lost my job before I came for the visit, etc. Had no reason to go back I guess. Certainly didnt know what a mess the immigration process is though, and had no idea what I was getting into.
However, it should be noted that it IS possible. Although I would think doing it across an ocean would be a lot harder
