Help - Advanced Parole
Has anyone ever left the country before receiving their AP documents,
had someone forward the documents to them and used them for re-entry?
I know it's taking a risk, but we have good reasons to have to leave
in a few weeks, and the documents wont be ready for another month.
Does anyone know what is being accepted in NYC as valid reasons for an
emergency Advanced Parole application? Thanks!

I'm in the kind of the same position. We booked a big vacation back when AP's were done in person, same day. Now MSC is handling our case and it doesn't look like we'll get it in time for our vacation.
The valid reasons I've had from both a lawyer and someone from our local congressman's office are that AP can be expediated for emergency, life or death situations only. Such as if you had a doctor's letter explaining how your mother was very ill, or someone you loved died.
Every one has told me to absolutely NOT leave the US without AP in hand.
