gracejilly - congratulations on getting your papers signed! the children weren't needed at the interview but i had to take them along because they had to have a medical. i don't know what the procedure is for when you have medicals for children following later. might be worth mailing [email protected] to ask.

meauxna - i'll finish the hep b - good advice - thanks.

robclews - starbucks scary? would have been normally. but by the time we got there out of the rain i was about 400 miles past caring!

everybody - thanks so much for your support and help. if there's anything i forgot to say, just yell. one thing i realised today - i wasn't there till the absolute end but i was there a long time and i didn't see anyone refused. that's not to lull anyone into a false sense of security but just to point out it looks rare. i KNOW that won't help the anxiety on the big day but still....

people who sent mails - thank you so much. i will be wading through them and replying but i'm feeling a bit shellshocked still - like someone dropped a ton of bricks on my head actually. one more night's sleep and i'll prolly be functioning again.

all the very best of luck to all.

regards

By the way, your fiance's is the same bday as mine, and I had to chuckle at that, because my fiance better get it right when he has his interview

Hope you and your kids have a safe journey. Cheers

Hi Scarlett,

So pleased for you!! It sounds like you went through the mill a bit, not so much because of the medical and interview, but "The London Experience" with young children. So I take it you won't be recommending the hotel then

All the very best, you lucky thing!!

Congrats Scarlett. My husband was there the same day as you. He mentioned a woman with two small girls and I thought, "I bet I know who that was!". Everything went well for my hubby but he got a blue slip (an FTE) because we STILL do not have the bloody police certificate. It's been 47 days in process and no one picks up the phone on either of the numbers we have both locally and at Scotand Yard. He's not planning to come for three weeks, but it's still a pain in the ass for him to have to go back to London once he gets it. Anyway...I'm so glad we get to spend the holidays with out loved ones!

Default Wooooooooooo hoooo!!!!!!!!!!

Girl, where the heck were you yesterday?????!!!!! I raced home from work to see if you'd got it, and not a bloody word!!!!!!! Only kiddin! I'd imagine a good stiff would be in order after all that!!!!
It's so nice to know that our consulate understands the stress of everything, and treat you with a bit of respect. It gives people a reason to look forward to the interview, rather than dread it.
Quick question, Scarlett.......what vaccinations MUST adults have? I'd like to have mine with my GP, so I need to find out which ones I need to get.
Anyway, your head's probably spinning by now. Thanks for the experience, and WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The very best for your future with your girls and your new hubby!!!!!!!!
Luv Kate. xxxxxxxxxxx
P.S: Did they ask to see tax transcripts? Corey hasn't sent me any yet, coz I wasn't sure if I'd be needing them til AOS.

Wow,
Great post.
Good timing on the wedding. When its time to file taxes (April 15) you and
hubby may be able to file jointly, take the kids as dependents and get a
whopper of a refund.

Hi Scarlett, that was some story. Congratulations on getting through it all. Can you enlighten us a bit more re the age requirements for the vaccinations? My doctor has no record of any of mine, so I'm particularly interested in how this will go for me.

Thanks, Sam.

Hi andyjbilton!!
Can you please let us all know how you get on? There's quite a lot of posters going through London, and it's really helpful to know how others get on. Best of luck for the 5th.
Luv Kate. xxxxxxxx

I was stuck on a TRAIN!! Didn't get home till 1am.

Adult vaccinations - ack! this is from memory. MMR, tetanus and diptheria.
worried i might have forgotten something cos i had a load more i didn't need.
somewhere in my pile of papers i have a note from the doc's - you could ring
and double-check. wish i had. mail me at [email protected] to remind me in the
morning and i'll hunt through my papers and see if i can find a phone number.
can't face them tonight. having a wee celebratory drinkie and don't want to
risk spilling wine
