I suppose you could doctor anything, but I know the USCIS will accept IRS transcripts but do not like copies of returns.

OK, this is what I have:

1) Transcripts of our tax returns for 05, 06 & 07
2) House insurance statements for 05, 06 & 07
3) Joint bank account statements for the last few years
4) Car financing statement
5) Various photos of us over the past few years... wedding, parties, etc etc
6) Letter from my employer confirming that Jessika is my next of kin/emergency contact

Would you think that's enough?

Funny, I always submitted copies of my returns, never transcripts, and was never questioned or had any indication of any kind that they "do not like copies of returns"

Either will do just fine.
