had a baby named it " approved k3"
Hey folks,
Well yesterday to my surprise I got the approval letter for the I129f
-k3 visa . The letter came from the NVC and said that it had been sent
to Ecuador, my spouses country. So I feel better for now. I will try
to open a provisional file. My timeline is below but here is some
personal info. First, it is helpful if the administrators or people
who commonly answer questions like Rete and Folyi------, to be non
judgemental. Im happy that you went through the process and thanks for
your technical info, but no thankyou for your judgements. To the
lawyers who post regularly thanks for your insight and info. I would
like to see your reports on the service centers posted as fast as you
get them, b/c we are all held in suspense. We know that this is a
marketing tool for lawyers so if you want to market to me write those
reports up fast and post info fast. I still haven't seen the report on
the NVC or the complete TSC report. To the married k3 waiters , take
up a hobby b/c it is a long ride. puzzles, contests, college classes
anything to keep your mind off of worrying. I have not told many
people of the approval b/c the questions from fam. and friends just
don't stop, and of course since they have not gone through the process
it is hard for them to understand. I will let them know when the plane
lands. I sent my I134 complete out to my husband last week so he
should get it in maybe another week. Send those papers early b/c you
never know what will happen(i.e. Ecuador just had a volcano eruption,
its such a beautiful place). To k3 people who post please include your
timelines, that is just the price of using the board.
Ya, here is my timeline:
3-22-02 returned from spouses country married
5-09-02 sent off I130 to tsc
5-15-02 received 1st noa, came fast
6-01-02 mailed I 130 noa copy aka I797 to missouri with complete I
129f package, read, read, read, and although I have never been married
before this, divorced people need to send divorce decrees from
themselves and their spouses if the spouse is divorced so you dont get
a rfe
6-09-02 received my 1st noa from missouri for k3, but it was dated as
received on 6-11-02, take it with a grain of salt
11-04-02 received the 2nd noa from National Visa Center(sounds like a
clearinghouse) which said that approval had been sent from nvc to the
consulate in my spouses country.
I did write please cable on all my forms. I sent a complete three page
cover letter to explain anything that I didn't understand. I called my
congressperson and as of yesterday she sent me a reply a week later
saying that my file is with an adjudicator at MSC. Do you think that I
will call them back? I faxed, phoned, and emailed them alot and I feel
like that gave me a little piece of mind. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
THAT I DID WAS PRAY TO GOD, AND MY SPOUSE PRAYED, I AM NOT RELIGOUS,
JUST SPIRITUAL, the first thing my spouse said when i told him the
news was God is Good, Bendita sea Dios, . I like that saying. Please
look over all of the papers you send in and give lots and lots of
evidence, emails, pictures, etc. If you have any questions you can
email me but I don't help with fraud so if I sense that you are not
keeping it real I will let you know.
Peace, I will continue to update b/c that visa is not in hand yet and
I actually like helping in a nonjudgemental way. Even after he is
here you will hear from me b/c I want to give people hope. I rc'd alot
of hope from past stories. Hasta manana.

First: congratulations.
Second: I do try to be non-judgmental. My interest is to see that good general legal information gets out there. There is way too much misinformation and that can hurt people.
Third: My personal feeling is that time-line questions are the most reasonable ones asked, but I find them frustrating because I don't think they can be answered with any degree of precision -- I've seen too many things go from fast to slow if not a standstill and vice versa.
Fourth: This is NOT a marketing tool for me. I simply don't take cases from the usenet as those who have solicited me have found out. I'm busy enough as is -- however, I feel an obligation to perform "pro bono" service for the public good and I find the usenet a good way to do this.
Salud y vaya con Dios.
