Hello Everyone, I am just sorting out my flights and realise that it's a lot cheaper to get a return ticket. I will be getting married in late Aug but will be flying out in late June. I am hopeful that I may be able to use the return ticket back to the Uk but need to know how long it will take for me to get issued with my green card.

Any ideas?

The length of time is quite easy to calculate once you have two facts: the date of filing and the date of approval. Anything else is speculation and YMMV applies.

Seriously, it is recommended NOT to make "written in stone" plans.

I see from past posts you are entering on a K-1.

It typically takes about 6 or 7 months from filing AOS to getting green card in hand.

But you can travel on Advance Parole before you get your green card. It takes between 60 to 90 days to get AP in hand after filing AOS.
