Default Got a question regarding the medical examination

Hey all,

Just got a quick question regarding the medical examination during the visa process - I read somewhere that they take BMI into account? This is a problem for me, I'm into bodybuilding - and most of the year I'm carrying around a fair amount of mass, I'm not fat - but the BMI scale says I'm obese?

Is this BMI reading enough for them to throw your visa application out? Otherwise, aside from that I'm in good health (I have asthma but its rarely problematic)

Thanks

The medical is designed to pick up on people with communicable diseases, mental illness, or drug usage. Having a high BMI isn't a problem, certainly not enough to cause you a problem getting a visa. People with chronic illness, such as diabetes, and disabilities routinely get visas, so you should have no problem.

You'll be fine. I had the medical yesterday and my BMI was high, its a useless measure and they understand that.
