I just got my green card, which I'm very happy for, although a little suprised, as the processing times implied i'd have another year to wait. Also the most strange thing is that I was not asked to go in for an interview. I done my aos after marriage, now 6 months later the card is mailed to me. It's awsome. Although I am now curious if this is common, as I thought that everyone had to have an interview?

I understand that unless there are some questions about the validity of the marriage, interviews are commonly omitted nowadays.

At least, that's what I've been hearing from a number of places/people.

Is your Local Office backlogged? Was your case transferred to the CSC?
This sort of transfer/approval is no uncommon these days. Congratulations and welcome to America!

Hi Kevin, Did you get your EAD first or did you just get a green card? How long after you got your biometrics did it come through? Was your case processed in California? Congrats by the way!

I'm not him (yeah obviously ) but my husband got his AP, then EAD, then the card.

I'm trying to remember - it wasn't very long. Maybe a month is my guess.

We filed back in March though - so things could be different now, of course.
