Question Good Immigration Attorney/St. Louis?

When my future husband comes to the United States we are going to need to get a good attorney to help us do the AOS and to consult with on advanced parole and different issues of that sort.

Does anyone have any knowledge or suggestings for an experienced Attorney in the St. Louis, Missouri area?

I just don't want to get someone out of the yellow pages without really knowing if they will be helpful.

Thanks for any information.

Sincerely,

Judi

Yo,
Why do you say you are going to need a good attorney?
Why would you need an attorney at all?
Please tell us what problems you foresee.
What sort of trouble are you already in, even tho not married yet?
There are good attorneys, and then there are GOOD attorneys who will suck every
dime you have, but virtually guarantee a positive result.

Why would I need a good attorney? Well as I stated in my original post I want to have an attorney help us with AOS/advanced parole and when we would be able to live outside of the United States and not have difficulties coming back. We don't want to do something that will jeapordize his status once he comes to the United States.
And in reference to your question about what trouble we are already in....None whatsoever. I just like to gain as much knowledge as possible so mistakes aren't made to mess up everything we have been doing so far.

I was basically asking if anyone had any experience with attorneys around St. Louis...any good experiences?

Thanks,

Judi

Hi,

I can thoroughly recommend Suzanne Brown. Her office is at Hanley and Clayton, but I can't remember her phone number. If you can't find the number, let me know and I'll look it up. (I'm not where I can access it easily at the minute.) Good luck! And mention my name when you talk to her if you like.

Thanks, I came upon her name online and hoped that she was good. I will have to check it out.

Thanks again,

Hi:

I'm at home as I write and I keep my handy AILA directory in the office. So, if I still have a memory tomorrow, I'll look it up! A couple of years back I represented a church in the St. Louis area and got back a determination from the Administrative Appeals Unit that music was not a normal part of Christian liturgy. Now when INS goes off the deep end, I take a perverse joy in suing them. But churches tend not to do that [something about "render unto Cesar" or some such]. Also, I'm not admitted to the bar in Missouri [not necessary for INS, but sure is necessary for district court]. I really, really wanted INS to tell a Judge in the Bible Belt that music was not part of Christian liturgy and found a good immigration lawyer willing to take the suit.

But I've forgotten his name!
