Getting permission to travel
HI there,
Question for anyone who could help. My (UK) husband and I were married
on a K-1 visa here in the US in October. We are now applying for AOS
and are also hoping to visit the UK in Decemeber so he can see his
family for christmas, it will be a year in Oct since he has seen them.
I know that i have to file a I-130 with his AOS to get permission to
travel. How long does it take to get this back? If we are making plans
for the middle of Dec and file soon, should we have it in time? Any
info would be great, thanks!

Honey, hate to tell you this but if you married in October of 2003 and haven't yet to file for your husband's adjustment of status it looks like hubby is well over the 180 days of overstay and should not leave the US for any reason whatsoever until he gets his green card.
Perhaps the in-laws would like to visit you both for the holidays instead.
