Default G-325A question

My fiance sent me her G-325A to enclose with my Form I-129F petition. She doesn't
speak English well. She partially filled out the form.

Possible solutions:

Should I explain to INS about all of the missing information in my cover letter?

Should I fill out a "pro forma" G-325A with all of the information filled in"

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Mike

Are you suggesting that you have all the *missing* information you need to fill in
and you have her signed G-325A with you as well ?

Then I would complete the missing info, and put a note in that line where it says to
sign if you filled out the form for her, that I assisted and sign my name. Alvena

See the Doc Steen site here:
http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm I am not a lawyer, and this
is not immigration advice. The information I provide is mostly gleaned from old
newsgroup posts and visa links on the internet. If you want or need a lawyer, go to:

I do not see any spaces provided on the G-325A form for Alvena's signature Are you
referring to a newer version of the form than the one available on the INS website ?

Yes, I can.

As a matter of fact, I called an immigration lawyer today. He gave me essentially the
same advice as what Alvena gave.

Thank you, Alvena and Onigiri, for your responses.

Mike

He charged me nothing. I called the office, and asked for a free consultation over
the phone. He was hesitant to do this, but he did it anyway.

I really don't understand why lawyers are hesitant or refuse to give one or two
minutes of their time. I used to work in a CPA firm. I used to give free 15 minute
consultations. We wrote it off as "practice development". Giving free consultations
can be good PR.

This is probably less that the lawyer begrudges giving free consultations & more that
he or she can be held liable for any advice given, whether paid for it or not. This
is the main reason most lawyers keep their mouths shut unless they've been retained.

My wife is a lawyer, & she won't give ME legal advice. Every time we've needed it,
we've retained outside counsel.
