Question G-325 A - Do I list my A# from a previous visa

Hey there,

I previoulsy had a 2 year conditional green card which expired in december 2009 as I had to return indefinatley to the UK with my US husband. We are now in the process of starting to reapply to get back to the USA. As such I filled in the paperwork necessary to DCF at the US embassy in London. I just have a quick question. On the G-325a form for myself should I list the A# that was previoulsy assigned to me on the issuance of my last green card....the one that expired in Dec 09? Or will they issue me with a new one should our new application be successful.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes. I'd also attach a note detailing why you already have an A number.

Observation: When a green card has been abandoned and then a new one is sought on the same ground, it is GENERALLY not a bad idea to let the powers-that-be that the marriage was previously examined and found worthy.

No advice given nor intended.

Folinsky/Noorah. Thanks for the advice. I had not thought to attach a note, however it can't hurt to attach one stating why I have the A-number i.e. that we have been through this same process before sucessfully. I'll get to work on drafting something polite, diplomatic and direct!
