I don't see how that is inconsistent with what I posted. They need to estimate 09 income based on the information they have today.

It appears to be solved now.

No, they don't need to estimate 2009 income at all. They need to express current income on an annual basis. Current income being the rate of pay he's getting today for a year's worth of hours.

The complication in this case being determining what is a year's worth of hours since the hours can vary seasonally or perhaps even weekly.

True, if today's rate of pay stays the same throughout the year then the calculation will produce the same number as an estimate of 2009 income, but that's a special situation not the general case.

JEff, I think we're using 'estimate' differently from each other.
