Finding a job in USA

Hi to all experts here

Are there government agencies helping the unemployed look for jobs?
If there are, how effective are them if one is willing to do any kind of
job?

LPR is still considered Alien, right?

There is nothing wrong if the government treats citizens better than LPR or
Aliens. In fact, there is something wrong if it does not. If the
government agencies only help citizens and not aliens to find job, I can
understand it.

I keep reading about how bad the job market in US is. But is it really
that bad? If I am willing to do any kind of job, say waiter, driver,
clerk, etc., will I be able to find a job? I have a B Eng (Hons) but I
don't think it will be recognised in US.

in most areas the job market is not good, of courss a lot depends on what state you want to go to..

But basically if you have not got a specialist background there is little chance.....there is no shortage of american for menial jobs
