I just cook, I'm afraid I do not decorate. What a scary idea.
But the strawberries look very cool - I think we can get marzipan fruit... now that's an idea...
Carrot cake is yummy, but a bit of work. Hmmm. Wonder if I could get a baker to use my recipe
Or I could make up the batter, and they could build the thing... hmmmm....

That would be nice. But I don't think we're travelling right now - too many old sick doggies. Doing ok, but not well enough to kennel.

I know this might be lacking class but have you ever thought of renting a cake? Just have a slice of carrot cake placed in the cake form for the photo and a cake in back cut and served to your guests. You can tell I'm pretty frugal.
I guess you never though you'd get a slew of impromptu wedding planners on BE

Yes, I am shouting - FINALLY, YAY, happy dance - Keith has his fiance visa in hand, he has passed the American veterinary boards and can be licensed to practice in the US.
So I FINALLY get to plan a wedding.
He'll probably come over at the end of the month or something, whever he gets things wrapped up there.
If it works out for other folks, we'll probably get married March 10 - the 4th anniversary of the day we first met in person.

I read what you wrote it I think my idea might be too much. It sounds like a very intimate gathering which is awesome. I hope mine, whenever it happens, won't be an out of hand affair. I just want something simple and stuff and it sounds like you are having it. Good for you. After all this goes down, you will be required to post the photos or provide a link to your photographer's website. Whatever method. I'm sure it's going to be a beautiful affair.
