Filing joint taxes while doing AOS
I am currently awaiting AOS. My wife is the USC. For INS purposes, would it be better
to file jointly? Does it matter. I thought it might be one of the factors that goes
to show [INS] ours is a bona fide marriage. But there are many more ways to do that.
Is this one crucial?

I disagree. I suggest they file whatever way gives them the best tax benefit. AOS
isn't going to be denied on that basis. If they wish, they could even enclose a
statement saying it was better economically to file separately. INS doesn't expect
people to pay more taxes in order to have a successful AOS

isn't going to be denied on that basis. If they wish, they could even enclose a
