Filing I-751 whilst outside the USA

So I have w 2 year conditional Greencard. I’ve been outside the country for 11 months. I was planning on going back to the USA 2 months ago, however coronavirus has continuously delayed this has I don’t wanna travel with an infant with the virus especially as all travel advice everywhere says do not travel

anyway my conditional green card expires May 3rd. I have filed from outside the USA for I751, I have also booked for first available appointment at the USA embassy in England on May 3rd to try and get a returning resident visa. If they will allow me one so I can travel back & corona is coming to an end, what will I do in regards to my greencard expired?

anyone got any advice? Thanks

Did you consult an immi lawyer as suggested in your other recent thread?

When your I-751 is accepted they will mail you a letter expending your Green Card for 12 months.

What address did you put on the I-751?

Did you speak to an immigration attorney?

Rachel, the advice is no different than your thread on the same subject started on April 1.

BTW what have you done to get your child a US Passport to enter the US with?

Using different sub-forums only confuses responses. I am having this transferred to the marriage based forum.

I provided the name of an attorney in my first post in your initial thread. Your situation is complicated in somewhat subtle ways and is best ameanable to private discussion.

Good luck.
