Default Filing I-485 separately

Hi Ingo,

Can I file I-485 for myself through attorney and then later file my
wife's I-485 on my own?

Thanks,Alex.

yes you can do that, you have to file your wife I-485 when you get the I-485 reciept of your I-485,attach that reciept with her I-485 filling.
If she is in US then you should file her I-485 with your I-485 becase if filed later BCIS takes time to join her I-485 with your I-485
** I hope you are trying to save some money that attorney is asking for your wife I-485, it is worth filing with your I-485 and let the attorney handle it.
