Hi, Once I enter the US on a K-1 visa, what should I file first? The AOS or SSN? For
example the I-485 form has a box for "Social Security #" so that does that mean I
should get the SSN first?
Another question has anyone any insight on filing AOS in person or by mail?
Thanks for any help!

You should file for the social security number first ... but not for that reason! The
reason is that as a K-1er you are eligible for a social security number without
needing an EAD. If you don't actually have the number by the time you file the AOS
you just put None where it asks for the number.

Depends on the local INS office. If they permit it I would always recommend filing in
person because:
a) You usually get a receipt that day
b) They'll usually check the forms are all there
c) Some offices will process the EAD and/or AP documents on the spot.
