What consititutes a hardship in the clause they have in there. I know they say if
you are unable to meet it has to be because of local traditions or hardship that it
would cause.
Would it also be easier for her to get a visitors visa, come here, then marry? She
and i have been talking for the past 3 years over the phone, net, and postal mail.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

M

My understanding is that in a situation where arranged marriages are a part of your
culture, you can get around the requirement of meeting in person. There are also some
other situations. I'm not sure though as to what you need to qualify for "hardship."
You may want to consider meeting with your girlfriend somewhere overseas.
