Hello,
My petition for Fiancé was approved in November and my fiancé went for her
interview however the case was placed on "Administrative Review".
Does anyone know about this sort of thing that is happening in the
Philippines?

Hi All!
All depends on what the reason. Normally it's to check her marital status
with the NSO, to see if she has been married or is married. This adds about
6 to 8 weeks on the processing time. If it's for another reason who knows how
long it will take. I would try to find out the reason, which they aren't
going to give up easily. Try calling yourself.

We just went thru the Manila 'Administrative Review' process for 11
weeks
(. They never did give us a reason for the review - not even to
my Senator's office. That 5071 and 5072 number did not work for us
either. Personally I dont think they had a reason - we had all of our
documents in order and non additional documents were requested.
It is a common procedure at that embassy. Some Visa's get approved
at the interview, others get 'Administrative Review'. No known reason
for it. Hmm.... perhaps it is the Consulate officer you get assigned
to......
All I can say is to hang in there -- it *will* eventually be processed.

Wow - 6 to 8 weeks. the officer told her only 2 to 3 weeks.
I hope she is right!

Since this is January...I am assuming something must have happened by now.
Has your fiance had a second interview yet?
Also: How long did it take between the time you received your fiancee visa approval until your fiancee actually got an interview in Manilla?
My fiancee is in the Phillipines and we should be getting an approval in a month or so...I was just wondering how long after an approval it will be before she gets the paper work so she can get her medical exam and interview.

hi ken,
once you get a copy of your Approval Notice (NOA2) u can call the U.S.
Embassy in Manila to request that a "K Packet" be sent to your
fiancee. they will ask for her passport info, address, phone
number...so u have to have these. another option for you is to send a
copy of the NOA 2 to your fiance so she can call the Embassy herself.
a couple of weeks after the request, your fiancee should receive the
packet and the forms and instructions for the medical exam, etc...
my fiance is in the philippines too, what is the date on your Notice
Of Action - Receipt Notice...i am expecting my approval in a month or
so as well from the California Service Center.
