A few returning Questions

Hi

I have a few questions regarding move to the uk hope someone can help.

Can i swap a nsw red p plate driving licience for a full uk driving licience

What are a rules on buying land in the uk - is there land tax etc

What are the implications of having been a non resident for 10 years regarding morgate's, universitys etc.

Thx

Re: A few returning Questions

Some interesting questions, I would imagine the NSW license has something on it stating it is provisional ? It MIGHT not be as simple as swapping it for a full UK license in that situation but to be fair I am guessing here, it could be that as you have passed a driving test that you can swap it.
As far as buying land I don't think there are restrictions as such. There is stamp duty payable but apart from that it seems to. E a fairly painless exercise.
A friend has recently returned to the UK after 7 years in Germany and I suggested he went to see a broker and he was able to get him a very decent sized mortgage.

You (or your children if you have any) will have to pay overseas student fees. (Except after living in the UK for 3 years, you will then be eligible for home fees)
