A few questions...
Hi just to let you know I am 15 and planning to apply for a Green card at the
embassy in London when I am 20 - I know 5 years away but still. I am curious
to know if it is possible to apply whilst unemployed with no promise of an
immediate job but a degree holder with enough money to support yourself until
a suitable sponsor comes around. I was interested in becoming a Personal
Assistant which involves a lot of travelling obviously and wondered if it is
possible to leave and enter the country regularly whilst owning a Green card?

It's not as easy as applying for a green card from overseas and then coming to the USA. You have to have a proper visa to enter the USA, and then you have to have the right channels once here to apply for a green card within the USA.
Best Wishes,

Re: A few questions...
depends on what category you fall into...easiest way apart from marrying a septic would be through nursing....otherwise, your looking at employment sponsorship, and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone that'll sponsor you fresh out of uni...and even less chance as being a PA.

Heather, US immigration law is being re-written as we sit here. There is no way to know what will be available in 5 years, or what the process will be. I suggest that you hang on to this dream and start doing the things NOW that will help you then. There are tons of opportunities for student exchange progams, and they are the best way for you to see if you like it here enough to even want a Green Card.

Ok thanks guys. I know I should read more into it but I found the website
quite confusing and my parents think that I'll never go so they just ignore
the whole thing so I'm trying to figure it out on my own thanks for the help.

Another alternative if fate does come along.. If your bf does happen
to be USA, then u are all set to "rock n roll" in america. No matter
how the laws n regulations pertaining to immigration is going to look
like in the future, spousal sponship of a USC will always remain there.
