I am a u.s. citizen intending on marrying a Japanese citizen. We would like to live
in the U.S.. She currently lives in Japan and I live in the U.S. Which is the fastest
way to get her here? K1 or I-130 filed in Japan?
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you.

IF the case is NOT complicated with any previous criminal records or health problems,
then marriage in japan and filing the I-130 there directly at the consulate in Tokyo
*should* be quicker. I am basing this on the service center slowdowns and the fact
that consular processing is usually quicker. You can find more info at a Japanese web
page (it's in Japanese, unfortunately) which is in the Links Section of the Doc Steen
site, look for the "special countries" link in the LINKS section. Bear in mind, with
the current problems we are having in the US, the above info could be totally
falacious. Alvena

<I got my K1 up to 127 mph.>
I think BMW build better touring bikes than sports bikes. I've always fancied an
R1100 RT, although they may use the 1200 nowadays.

ONLY 127 mph?! Geez, I ran my 1988 Honda Hurricane 600 up to about 140 mph! I
thought that a K1 would do better! Bill, USA
