F-1 immigration
Hello,
I am currently on F-1 visa and I want to be able to get
a greencard (since my Dad will become a US citizen this
December). I am 30 yrs old.
If my Dad petitions for me, will I be able to work legally
while the application is in process?
Also, if not employed, will I be able to stay legally in
USA immediately after the application is filed (but not
approved)? Or do I have to be a student or employed?
Under what conditions can a family member (son) of a
US citizen reside legally in the country?
Any feedback greatly appreciated.
