Have a quick question and didn't want to start a new thread....does anyone know if I would have any issues buying an 'open ended' ticket to the UK, if I am travelling with a US passport only?
Thank you

Probably not, since you are British and you are entitled to be in the UK as long as you want.

Bring that, and your most recently expired British passport, that should cover all bases.

I'm no expert, but that's what I'd do.

Wouldn't you enter on your UK passport?

I would but it expired in 06! I had no idea until I searched it out, had to quickly get a US one, not needed one before, because we have allways travelled on military orders.
Planning on renewing my Brit passport while there, should have enough time I'm going to be there about 6 weeks.

If you are going to be there 6 weeks a US passport is no problem. Your expired UK passport will satisfy them if they had any other issues about you leaving.

Thanx guys.....thank you Montgomail. Today has been one of the tougher days, didn't think about having to write out christmas cards without Matthew's name on them...I know we are going to have a lot more days like this, we are going to get through them, it will just take time.

You'lre good without a visa on a US passport for 6 months anyway, so you should be all set.

You know what Kim, if you want to put his name on a card go ahead and do it. He would want to wish everyone Merry Christmas and probably had plans to do so. There are no rules.
