Hello,
I live in the U.S. on H1B status. My wife is a U.S. citizen.
Could you help me with the following questions or if you know anybody
who can help?
1. I've lived in Houston, TX for few years and I will move back to CA
(San Jose) in 5 months. Should I file at San Jose's office (to avoid
the change of address's delays if any) or should I file in Houston and
in case, if I don't get the interview in 6 months, file a change of
address with INS?
( I can use my mother in laws address in San Jose as my residential
address)
2. Should I mail my application or should I walk in to the INS
location in any of the two locations?
Thanks for the help.
Mehran

1. Moving files is not advisable based on my discussions with diff
immigration attorneys, so if I were you I would file in CA and
personally I do not see why you cannot do it right away. The wait
time in Houston is long so you will not get an interview in 6 months
(unless you are in Boston were it happens in 90 days)
2. You can mail the application or walk in, makes no difference. I
mailed mine and did not have any problems.
These are just my thoughts.
