Hi! Yet another question

A co-worker of my husband went to the Bloomington MN Field Office and
got Employment Authorisation in one day. Can this still happen and is
this different from an emergency AOS? The co-worker did not get an
AOS that day, just permission to work. Is it safe to try this or will
it jeopardise the entire AOS procedure?

If it is ok to do this, which form precisely do we need to bring with
us?

When was this? I was there in Nov '03 and they told me they'd changed the procedure. Most folks had to get their EADs by applying to Chicago (i.e. NBC). Maybe your husband's co-worker did this before they changed the sstem or he already had a pending application that was more than 90 days old. If either of my assumptions is wrong, do let us all know.

Unfortunately most places have stopped doing walk ins for work permits and AOS applications. If I had done my AOS/AP/EAD forms before mid February I could have had it in a day but unf I can't and now have to wait for them to be sent back to me. Tho I live in Boston not Minnesota. How about enquiring directly to see if they still do walk ins - you might be lucky!??
