EAD self employed

Once I get the EAD, can I become self employed?

Once again
self employed means SSN,bank account, taxes, ect
yes you can become self employed be you cannot work for a company without the EAD

If its a small business that’s what you want to start ,
again the EAD is for to show that you are vaid to work in the USA for other people not for yourself

remember you are the boss of your company all you would have to do is register it with in the usa

I hope this opens some light
Here are some links that have helped me over the pass on starting a biz in NYC
ohh is cost about 500 bucks to register the name city and state

I own a small (very small) company thats based in Canada, and I basically just abandoned it when I came down here. However, I'm curious as to when I can actually register a business in the US. Do I have to wait until I have a green card? Eventually I would like to move the company down here and get it going again... Any advice is appreciated.

Wrong! You just don't get it, do you? The EAD gives you authorization to work. Period. I'll write it again in case you don't read very well... The EAD gives you authorization to work - authorization to work for others, and authorization to work for yourself. You *can* own a business without it, but you can *not* work for yourself without the EAD. Being the boss is irrelevant.
