EAD Renewal Info
Hi Everyone,
I need information on the renewal of EAD in Santa Ana, BCIS. My EAD will expire on 03/12/2004.
Last time I had gone to check on the status of my application, the agents in the Santa Ana BCIS told me that I can just go there 10 days prior to the exipiration of my EAD and they will renew it.
As EAD is a very serious issue and I don't have any trust on the agents in the BCIS (waiting for more than 8 months now after a successful green card interview to receive any letter from them), it would be great if anybody could share their experience of the EAD renewal in Santa Ana. Any other word of caution is also welcome! Please share your thoughts...
Thanks in advance
Ben

Re: EAD Renewal Info
I take it you have an existing 12 month EAD? That expires 03/12?
If you applied for your renewal over 90 days before the expiry of this
one, which appears to be the case, then you are entitled to get an
interim EAD if you don't get the renewed one by 03/12. Of course I'm
not the one behind the counter but it was on this basis that I got an
interim EAD, not in Santa Ana though.
