EAD Question
Hiya guys, it's me again!
I have my interview next Thursday, and Friday will be 90 days from the receipt of my I-765 application (July 6th). I still haven't received the EAD.
I received a RFE requesting more info on spouse's income, and the docs we then submitted were received on August 12th.
Would my I-765 be delayed because of the RFE? Should I ask for it at my interview if they don't give me a decision yet because of background checks?
Thanks!

Re: EAD Question
The RFE will not delay your EAD. They go to two separate areas. Yes, bring your receipt for the second EAD with you and if you aren't approved at the interview ask if you can please get an interim EAD.

Gosh, you either got a very quick interview, or you filed for your EAD very late in the process!
AFAIK you are entitled to ask for an interim EAD if 90 days have passed since receipt of your application.

It is for me apparently.
You have an interview date and it has been less than 90 days since you applied?

Regarding going home for Christmas...if you do get approved, and receive your GC or stamp in your passport by then, you're good to go. If you don't get approved the day of your interivew (because of incomplete security checks or something), make sure you have a valid AP when you leave the USA.
Best Wishes,
Rene

Current processing times are June 27th, 2006, so I don't think I'll get it before Thursday (which is the 89th day).
Either way, I've figured out whatever happens on Thursday happens, and if I do get denied I will go home - it will be pointless trying to stay.
My husband and I will face whatever challenges come our way - we're strong enough to get through it
