Default EAD question

I got EAD this March. Could anyone tell me when it is appropriate to start
renewing it before it expires o? Which is better, go to local BICS or go
online to renew? How long will it take to have the renewed one? Thanks.

A few people here have renewed it online, but unfortunately, no-one has any feedback on whether this process is better than dealing with the local office, as sufficient time hasn't passed.

you are looking at 2-4 months of processing times, although it depends on
the
center you are trying to get it renewed. I'm not sure local BCIS offers
renewals
anymore, you can suurely do it by mail. good luck!

Speaking from recent experience, if you file it online or through the mail, they will not process your application within the 4 months allotted, and you will have to go to the local BCIS office to get one issued on the spot. This happened to me last year, and one of my co-workers this month. It seems that nothing is being processed on time, so its probably better to brave the long lines outside your local BCIS office.

Cheers,
Jojo
