EAD at Local Office?
Hi
The following is from the San Juan district office page from uscis:
Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) (first time & renewals):
Please check the instructions on Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, to determine where you should file the application. For those filed with the District Office, EADs, including initial filings and extensions, are issued on a walk-in basis. Applicants wishing to extend their EAD should come to the office one workday before their EAD expires and an extension will be issued. Please bring with you valid identification and proof of filing your I-485. The San Juan District Office accepts only cash (exact change, please) for paying the I-765 application fee
Does this mean that I can apply for the EAD on a walk in basis if I dont file it with my initial paperwork (AOS etc) ?
Thanks for your help.
