Hi all,
My wife sent in her EAD (she's on a K3 visa) to the Chicago address about 45 days ago. she still hasn't received her first notice of action!!!
The check was cashed soon after I mailed the application. I don't have the phone number for the appropriate office. And I'm not sure if the 1-800 hotline will be able to help me. What can I do about this?
Thanks,
- khabibiuf

continuation from my prior email...
It's been 60 days now... and haven't received first NOA yet!!
Should my wife file again? What recourse do we have?

Another update...
I called the INS national hotline. The rep. told me that it could take up to 4 months to receive the first notice of action for an EAD (hard to believe!). I asked her about the 90 day ead policy. And she said that this is the time it takes after fingerprinting. So this puts my wife in quite a a quandry. I don't want to wait 4 months and find out that the application/receipt was lost in the mail. This whole INS process is like a big Catch-22 situation.
So i guess it's just a waiting process. Has anyone's first NOA for EAD taken this long?
regards,
khabibiuf
