Default EAD expired, I'm such a fool..

Hi, I recieved my EAD on 3/5/02 and am currently waiting AOS Interview. (Filed for it in Jan 02)

My EAD expired 3/4/03 and I totally forgot all about it. I have been employed since a week after I recieved the EAD originally.

My employer hasn't said anything about it - however I am unsure if I am in serious trouble with the INS because of letting my EAD expire for so long.

It's the weekend and I can't contact the INS until Monday but I thought i'd post here incase anyone has advice/information regarding my situation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Assuming you are applying through marriage to a US citizen -- YOU have no problems. Your employer might, but that is his problem. If you want to renew your EAD, you might want to do it through the new on-line process at www.immigration.gov.

Oh wow, thanks so much for the info. Didn't realise you could apply online. And yes, this is via applying through marriage to a US citizen.

Many thanks!
