Yep, I am a k3er preparing to adjust my status.
Its against the law to work without EAD and you cant get SSN if you dont have it.
You can only apply for an interim EAD after 90 days (upon receipt of your EAD application) at your local CIS office. Afterwards, you go apply for your SSN.
