EAD card

How long it usually take to get a EAD after getting my finger print/
Biometrics done?

I have scheduled to get my finger-print / biometrics done for both
I-485 and I-765.

I read some people got their EAD before getting
finger-print/biometrics done.
Is it possible?
I am a little confuse. I thought the normal process is :

after Finger-print/biometrics done --> pick up a EAD card

Areas vary a little in their systems...the EAD require just one finger too be printed and one pic..and it often done in the local office ..
Biometrics is often done in a separate Application Support Center where the print from every finger is taken on a scanner and forwarded direct to the FBI...for your security check..
