my appointment for biometrics (I-765) is coming up at the end of june (fingerprinting is being done at the same time)

ive seen some people who actually recieved their EADS on the day of their appointments, and some people who have had to wait for it in the mail.
does anyone know if ill recieve it that day, or whether itll be mailed?

You're going through Philly aren't you? Although the NBC have all your AOS papers, your EAD interview will still be at the Philly office. At your EAD interview appointment (at the Philly office) you will have your index finger fingerprinted and your card issued then and there. There are a lot of us that have been through Philly and this is what they do.

Fingerprinting for AOS will be done separately and you will have a letter sent to you purely for a fingerprint appointment - I had mind done in the Application Support Centre in York (which is much closer to my home that Philly).

By the way, it doesn't matter what time they tell you your appointment is, it's on a first come first served basis. Get there early. We were held up because of the traffic and the room was pretty full when we got there (obviously not everyone in the room is there for their EAD), but I had to wait over two hours before my name was called (you are called in in groups of 4). There was a long wait after the first two or three groups of 4 were called in - so get there early and you will be one of the first. Apparently they have to do all the typing of the cards themselves as they get your appointment letter back (so they can see who's turned up). Anyway, after you have your photo taken and fingerprint done it takes about 15 minutes and you get your card.
