EAD in atlanta
For atlanta folks, how long has it taken you to recieve your travel
documents and/or EAD?

Travel travel doc will take 1 month.
First time taking EAD, it will be quick, about 1.5 months.
2nd time doing EAD, it will take a bit longer, 2-3 months.
All these information are on the govt immigration website. Look under
district office.
Waiting for I-485 to get passport stamp with gc will take 2-3 yrs! My
wife had been waiting since Nov 2002.

actually I thought atlanta said longer than 1.5 months and 1 month. I
was looking for practical examples, not theoretical ones that's why I
posted the question here. But thanks for your answer.

actually I thought atlanta said longer than 1.5 months and 1 month. I

How long ago had you applied for your travel docs and EAD? I just
applied in April. I wonder if processing times have slowed down since
you did it.

My wife got her EAD in 2-3 months in Atlanta.
After the finger print and photo at Buford Highway, the INS sent her
EAD card in about 2 weeks.

Just one more question. What was the actual date she received it? Month
and year? I am trying to figure out how long ago your wife applied for

We got it on April 29, 2004. It was exactly date the old one expire!
That is perfect timing.
I suggest apply 2-3 months before the EAD is about to expire.
