EAD and AP - travel
Hi all,
I've had my EAD card with Advanced Parole (i-131) for a couple of months now, and my work need me to travel to Canada for some critical customer meetings. As I have the AP in place I think I'm ok to travel and return, I was wondering however what, if any, supporting documentation I should gather and take with me for re-admittance into the US? I'm married, we have a mortgage and I have a job, all of which I can prove to the border agent, but is there anything else anyone would recommend based on experience?
thanks!

I agree with Noorah - the Advance Parole proves you are being processed by USCIS. It is not the job of the CBP officer at the immigration desk to start reexamining your application and start checking supporting documentation.

However, you should be prepared to be sent to secondary for processing. This may impact onward travel.

When I was in practice, client's would tell me that the inspector would check the computer to verify validity and perhaps ask vaguely how they were applying. "Marriage" or "work" sufficed.
Do take your passport.
