ead, aos and working?
hi,
when we file for the AOS and get an interview and fingerprinting, when you have your AOS interview, is the 90 day EAD stamp extended?
Or do you have to file the EAD no matter what the timeframe for the AOS is?
we are probably going to marry in the first 2 weeks of my arrival in the USA, and we read someones thread where it said that a clerk told them it was a waste of time and money, filing for the EAD because their interview had been scheduled within the 3 months.
i hope all this makes sense and someone can clarify.
thanks in advance

Re: ead, aos and working?
If you wish to continue working after the 90 day EAD expires, yes you have to. No BCIS local district offices does instant AOS so you will have a timeline of at least a few months to a few years depending on where you live. If you aren't going to be working when you arrive, then there is no problem. Why apply for something you won't use.
