The I-797 is a notice... not a form. Every time you receive a notice from US immigration it's on form I-797. You don't apply for it. Besides, you're not adjusting from a K-1/K-3 visa so some of the stuff doesn't apply to you.

can I find my Alien registration number on my E-3 Visa (the red number?)
If you have an E-3 visa, you likely don't have an Alien registration number. It is perfectly okay to not have one.

You are not filing AOS from a K1 or K3, no.

Don't forget to include an I-130 form and fee.

Okay thanks for the clarification. I see a lot of things on the wiki page that wouldn't apply.

But I am guessing, marriage certificate, photos, passport photos, visa copies etc would be items I should include in my package of forms.

Don't just guess. Go to Homepage | USCIS and look at the I-130 application and instructions. Do the same for the I-485 application. Everything you need to know is there in the USCIS instructions for each application.

I appreciate the tone of your email. I have since looked at both instructions, which has clarified a few questions about extra information.

Most forms require 2 x 2 inch passport photographs. Would I need to attach 1 for me and 1 for my spouse for every form even though I am filing all these forms simultaneously?

Treat each application as a stand-alone application. So yes, some things will be duplicated. There will be multiple photos required. Just do one application in full, put it aside, then start the next one and attach everything it requires, even if it's something you attached with the application you just put aside.

Yes.

... even though I am filing all these forms simultaneously?
Each is a separate form. Each has its own requirement. It's irrelevant that you're filing them simultaneously.

Just for the record, if anyone is ever going down the same path. (and please correct me if I am wrong)

To be filed along with I-130;
- Passport of Sponsor (in this case my wife)
- Copy of marriage certificate
- Sponsors birth certificate
- Passport photos of my spouse and I, with names written on backend
- G-325A for both myself and Sponsor (Spouse)
- Bank statement to show financial connection

I-485;
- Birth Certificate
- Copy of passport and current VISA
- 2 passport photos
- Medical Exam form (I-693)

I-131;
- Copy of Passport

I-765
- Nothing additional

I-864
- Nothing Additional

I'm not sure what you mean by "nothing additional" under the I-864. The I-864 does require backup documentation.

Sorry you are correct. I neglected to mention proof of support exceeding 125% of the poverty line. Will update the post

Only one of these is required, not both.

There's more evidence required than what you have listed. Did you read the I-864 instructions?

I-864 needs at least 1 year of tax return copies or tax transcripts.

Also, don't forget the fees for I-130 and I-485.
