Default DS-230 question

Filling out DS-230 wondering if I fill out one for my son who's joining me in the USA and if he signs where it says applicants signature?
Sorry if it sounds like a silly question, I just want to get everything right.
Thanks a bunch!

You most definitely have to fill one out for your son .. but as to whether
or not he has to sign it himself would depend on how old he is, I would
guess... My son is 14 and I made him sign it... I would think if your son is
old enough to have a signature, let him sign it ...

Just thought I'd add another comment while I was thinking about it ..... re:
your son's forms ...
On DS230 Pt2 (and the DS156) .. on the bottom of the form, it asks if
someone else filled it out for you .. I put MY name as the person who filled
it out (on his form), and made sure that he read and understood the form ..
he doesn't have to sign it until we're at the consulate .. but I wanted to
make sure that he understood that I filled it out - and what he was going to
sign!
Good luck!
