My fiancee said the instructions for the DS-156, which she just received packet 4,
read something about needing to bring to the interview documentation of intent to
return to the UK. She never intends to move back to the UK. What is that all about?
Also, it says to bring a stamped envelope for return of her passport. Why do they
take her passport? Thanks for any help!

Forget about the documentation of intent to return to the Uk and the envelope. This
form is used also for regular non-immigrant visas in addition to your fiancee's visa.
Ignore what does not seem to apply to her.
