DS-156 is a nonimmigrant visa application. Fiancé visa is considered to be a
nonimmigrant visa (I think). If I'm not mistaken this is the same form I filled in
the last time I applied for a tourist visa. This time, however, I got it in my K1
package from the embassy. I am a little confused with a couple of questions.
25. Do you intend to work in the U.S.? If yes, give name and complete address of U.S.
employer. Yes No
Yes, eventually, after marriage. How am I supposed to give the address of an employer
when I didn't even start looking for jobs? I am supposed to get a provisional work
authorization at the port of entry but I'm not sure if I will use it.
26. Do you intend to study in the U.S.? If yes... etc.
Yes, eventually.
27. How long do you intend to stay in the U.S.?
Indefinitely?
I am pretty sure I don't have to sign the DS-156 form in front of the consul, but the
DS-156K one. My baby tells me not to sign any forms, just to be on the safe side![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
OF-230 [PART I - biographical data sheet] I didn't get this form.
Thanks for any help

Correct, it is a non-immigrant visa. I've been through the K1 and can answer some
questions.

Stating "Yes, eventually, after marriage" is fine.
