theres a part on this form that asks for my dads address .but i not seen my dad in 6 years so have no idea where he lives,
do i just mark unknown?? i know its a stupid question but don't want any mistakes at this point lol.

If you don't know his address, all you can really do is put Unknown. That's the truth.

Edit to add: I just looked at my husband's DS-230, and for his father's (and mother's) current address we just put the city and country. No street address details.

Do an internet search for him. You may want to pay one of those services who can look into various databases which are "publicly" available. You know his name and date of birth, no? Hell, have you looked in telephone directory?

This information does not directly relate to you, but they do ask and it has ancillary purposes in the immigration laws. I would make a minimal search to ascertain some information before resorting to "unknown."
