Does a newly arrived K3 person have trouble attending college? Are there
anything that has to be gotten or waited on? If all goes well my wife will
enter the US in August just 2 weeks before school starts. Would that be
enough time or would beurocratic stuff hold us up?
We are figuring about 80-90% chance we will get the Visa in June or July if
no RFE and want to vacation before going to the US and entering a long 1-2
year school process.
Thanks

You need to check with the university that you want to attend. Make sure you explain to them in detail your wife's status. Don't make any plans that will cost you money if you cannot follow through. She will have to pay non-resident fees.

She won't necessarily have to pay non-resident fees - she should be able to claim residency through you, her spouse, as long as you are a resident of the state.
You may have to get her high school transcripts translated, and she will either have to take the TOEFL or the SATs.
The difficulty my husband had getting into school was that they would not consider him to be a non-traditional student, since he is not a permanent resident. This meant that he was held to the same standards as the other applicants - his high school GPA and ACT scores (even though English is not his first language) were the only things used for admission.
Just be sure to check with both the admissions office, and the international department ahead of time to find out what you will need, in order to avoid delays...
