Documents required to file I-485

Documents required to file I-485
In filing for AOS based on an approved I-140, I have seen several references to lawyers who request among other documents:
1) Last two years W-2s
2) Last two years 1040
3) Recent pay stubs
Are these documents required by USCIS? I could not see them listed under initial evidence on the I-485 instructions, and justed wanted to be sure, what the lawyer is asking for is indeed required.

Those are the supporting documents to be provided with the I-864 (see instructions) required with the I-485 (point 14 page 4 of I-485 instructions).
